A 40-year-old was arrested on Saturday in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Freeport that occurred on March 25.

Nassau County police say Michael Bonner struck Narciso Guerra Lopez, 66, while he was crossing Merrick Road.

Lopez was initially listed in critical condition before later dying from his injuries.

Bonner is charges with leaving the scene of an incident resulting in dead and tampering with physical evidence.
